Feature on The Art Post
Share

I’m so excited to share that I have been featured on The Art Post website as one of the top 50 Manchester artists.
To be recognised among so many talented creatives in a city as vibrant as Manchester is a real honour. This city has such a powerful artistic heartbeat and I’m incredibly proud to be part of this creative community.
What made the feature even more special was being invited to write about my home city and how Manchester inspires my work. From it’s bold industrial history and ever evolving skyline, to it’s music, energy and unmistakable spirit, Manchester has always influenced the way I create. There is a resilience and raw beauty here that I find endlessly inspiring – a mix of strength and soul that naturally finds its way into my paintings.
As an artist, your surroundings shape you in ways you don’t always realise and for me, Manchester is woven into every layer of my creative journey. I’m so grateful for The Art Post for the recognition and for the opportunity to celebrate the city that continues to inspire me every day.
Here's to creating, growing and flying the flag for Manchester.
Here is the piece I wrote for the website:
“Manchester has such a vibe. It’s cool, unique and cultured. It has an iconic vibrant style, variety and fantastic atmosphere which just lends itself to inspiration and creativity. The city is filled with amazing architecture, both modern and beautifully historic, amazing art galleries and the Northern Quarter for its’ fantastic street art. These all provide great inspiration for my artwork. The people here are amazing too, with their immense pride for their city. They’re friendly, welcoming and incredibly hard working. There is a great spirit and togetherness, people genuinely look after each other, it’s a great city and I love living here.”
